Player, Assistant Coach and Administrator Nomination

For the boys varsity, each coach will nominate one player for every victory they achieved within their DIVISION. If no victories are achieved, one nomination will be afforded.

For the girls varsity, each coach will nominate two players for every victory they achieved within the Conference. If no victories are achieved, one nomination will be afforded.

For all coaches, one assistant coach and one lacrosse administrator is nominated to be added to the ballot for voting of Assistant Coach of the Year and Administrator of the Year. This can be from any level within or outside your organization. Someone you feel deserves recognition for their contribution to lacrosse in the Madison area. The winner of the award will be MALA's nomination to the WLF for a similar award.

Ballot distribution

The ballot is an Excel spreadsheet containing 10 tabs. The first tab are general instructions to the process.
Tab 2 will list all Attack that were nominated, you will rank the top 6.
Tab 3 will list all Midfielders nominated, boys will rank the top 6, girls the top 10
Tab 4 will list all defenders nominated, you will rank the top 6
Tab 5 will list all goalies nominated, you will rank the top 3
Tab 6 is labelled "Specialist". For the boys, this can be a FOGO or long-pole middie you would like to nominate, or just a "wild card" nomination. For the girls, it is a "wild card nomination. Someone on the team that practices hard, shows great team spirit, has all the right attitude and everything, except, maybe not the skill level. You will rank the top 3.
Tab 7 will show the top players you picked in the previous 4 categories. You will rank these selctions in order for Player of the Year.
Tab 8 will list all the varsity head coaches. Make your vote for Coach of the Year.
Tab 9 will list the assistant coaches nominated by the head coaches. Vote for Assistant Coach of the Year.
Tab 10 is for Administrator of the Year and lists all the administrators nominated by the head coaches. Vote for Administrator of the Year.

When ballots are complete, results are tabulated for all of the voting and the girls All Conference teams, 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention, will be published/announced the day prior to the MALA Girls Championship game. The boys All Conference teams, 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention, will be published/announced the day prior to the MALA Boys Championship Game.
