Boys' All American

All players voted to the MALA All Conference First Team will be submitted to the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation for All American consideration.

Boys' Academic All American

All seniors on any level of the MALA All Conference Team (First, Second, Honorable Mention) are eligible to be selected for consideration to the Academic All American Team provided:

  • That player carries a 3.5 cumulative GPA through the first semester of their senior year.

  • MALA's Academic All American selection committee, headed by the league secretary, receives a sealed transcript from the player's school in a timely fashion. This deadline is typically the Wednesday before the Wisconsin State Championship game.

  • MALA will pick one player to submit to the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation for consideration. Criteria will be based on course selection, rigor and GPA.

Girls' All American

The nomination is a 3-step process and is detailed at USLacrosse/Girls Nominations. Here is a summary:

  • US Lacrosse Membership: The head coach nominating a player must be a US Lacrosse High School Coaches Council Member prior to April 1, 2009 and have current membership continuing throughout the 2009 lacrosse season.

  • Pre-Nominations: A head coach must complete and submit the "US Lacrosse Pre-Nomination Form" for any player they want considered at the end of the season for All-American Honors. Any player not pre-nominated cannot be considered at the end of the season. Pre-nominations are due April 20th.    The pre-nomination must be submitted in writing on the provided US Lacrosse All-American Pre-Nomination Form.

  • Final Nominations: The head coach must fully complete and submit the three-part US Lacrosse All-American application, including Part 1: Nomination Form, Part 2: Criteria Checksheet and Part 3: Statistical Form (Player or Goalie) for final nominations to the chapter All-American Chair by April 1st for the Tier 1 "Early" Chapters, by May 20th for the Tier 2 "Mid" Chapters and the Tier 3 "Late" Chapters. We also recommend that a short video tape is submitted with this nomination form.

  • If a player is not pre-nominated with the above process, they cannot be considered for final nomination. Pre-nominations are confidential and should only be available to the All-American selection committee members. Parents and players should never know pre-nominations.

  • A player who receives a RED CARD for a flagrant action or violates a player/coach written contract may be excluded from consideration. Any YELLOW CARDS, RED CARDS or contract violations must be noted on the player’s final nomination form.

  • Coaches nominating multiple players must rank the players 1-N.
